VirtueMart Downloadable Products

This Joomla! extension makes it possible to sell downloadable products directly from your Virtuemart 2.x/3.x web shop. This feature is missing from Virtuemart 2.x upwards and this extension solves this problem. It consists of 4 parts; a custom field to assign files to products, a shipping plugin, a hidden payment plugin to allow downloads directly from the receipt page, and a Joomla! component to facilitate the secure downloading.

The files are stored in the safepath of your VirtueMart store so that they cannot be downloaded without paying for the downloads. The files can be downloaded directly from the receipt page or by logging into the user account and downloading via the order details screen.

Only confirmed orders allow the download to proceed. It can be set to allow downloads indefinitely after the sale or for a limited time frame. The number of downloads of each file can be limited for each order, or they can be unlimited.

This extension is only compatible with Joomla 1.6-3.x and VirtueMart 2.x and 3.x. A demo is available at http://demo.openglobal.co.uk. You can log into the Control Panel using username demo and password demo. Please make use of the demo to make sure that it meets your requirements, because refunds are not available after ordering.

You can simply download the extension and install and configure it yourself (full documentation is included) or choose our "Installed" option and we will install and configure it on your webserver for you.

The price includes the first month's support. A £5 per month (£6 inc VAT) support subscription is automatically included at the checkout which can be cancelled at any time through the PayPal interface.

*Obviously, do not cancel the subscription until after you have downloaded the software and it is working correctly. Cancelling the subscription prevents further downloads and further support will not be given.
